The app stores encourage developers to address user feedback by replying to app reviews. When you reply to an app review for iOS and Google play apps, it is the published in the relevant app store and the reviewer is notified by email and push notification (if enabled).
iOS App Review Notification Email
The iOS App store email notification includes the app details, the app review reply, a link for the reviewer to update their review and a link to contact the developer.
Google Play Review Notification Email
The Google Play notification email includes the app details, the review, the developer reply, as well as links to edit the review, contact the developer or report the developer reply to Google.
Google advises that not all reviews may be published in the app store. Reviews for early access or beta testing are not publicly published in the Google Play store. Reviewers can see if there review is publicly or privately published in their Google Play store app.
