How to use Languages

Appbot allows you to easily see which languages are most commonly used in your app reviews. This can be done by using our “Languages” tool found in the left hand menu.

Identifying which languages are most prominent in your reviews is useful for determining untapped market opportunities. It’s also useful to see if there is a problem that only one market/language is experiencing.

Using The App Store Language Tool

In the filter pane on the right of the page, you can apply filters to analyze the language of reviews from a particular time period, from a particular country or that are particular star ratings.app store language

Hovering over a point on the map will show you a breakdown of how many reviews came from each selected country on the legend below, so you can see at a glance which languages contribute the largest volume of your reviews.

Below, you will see a table showing you statistics for every app store language your reviews are in (for the filters you set at the top). Here you can easily see the average rating, sentiment breakdown, volume and trend for each language!

*Tip: If one market in particular is experiencing an issue with your app, you’ll notice it clearly here by looking at the positive to negative sentiment ratio. In the example below, most are 50/50, except Japanese which is mostly negative!app store language

You can also click into any of the languages from this table to see a list of the reviews that are for that language.
