Setting Up Appbot for Localisation Teams

Localisation teams play a key role in ensuring products and services resonate with users worldwide. Appbot makes it easy to monitor and analyze app feedback across different languages and regions, helping teams refine their approach and improve user experiences. Getting started with Appbot for localisation is quick and simple. Once you have created or been added to an Appbot account follow these steps to ensure your localisation team is set up for success:

Automatic App Review Translations

Appbot can automatically translate app reviews from 244 languages into English, allowing you to effortlessly access and analyze feedback from any country or language, without manual effort. This feature helps localisation teams to:

  • Monitor reviews in multiple languages without relying on external translation tools.
  • Highlighting market specific issues, such as UX concerns, pricing feedback, or cultural expectations.

  • Supporting informed decision-making for product updates, pricing, documentation, and customer engagement strategies.

Enable Translations on Apps

Each Appbot subscription comes with an allowance of review translations included. The allowance applies for your whole team. One translation from your allowance is used for each non-English review we translate for any member of your Appbot team.

By default Appbot teams allow each team member to turn translations on and off themselves, for each source. For those teams who allow all users to manage their own translations you will find these settings on the Manage Sources page:

Team Leaders can control the use of translations for team members on the account (1) and enable translations for apps (2) from the Manage Translations page:

Once enabled for an app, all new app reviews for that app will be automatically translated into English and shown in the Review thread:

User expectations and preferences vary by region. Create custom Dashboards specific to localisation teams to help them adapt their strategies by:

  • Segmenting reviews by country or language to identify regional trends.
  • Highlighting region-specific issues, such as UX concerns, pricing feedback, or cultural expectations.
  • Supporting informed decision-making for product updates, documentation, and customer engagement strategies.

Please note that the app review and metadata are fetched directly from the app stores. Google only shares the language of app reviews, not the country. Apple shares the country data, not the language.
